A new name and credible brand identity was needed to showcase the expertise of employment lawyer-turned entrepreneur, Omer Simjee. Omer was blending employment law with HR consultancy services and looking for support in launching his new start-up. The development of an entrepreneur’s brand is a very personal process and we wanted to strike a balance between respecting the nature of start-ups whilst presenting creative options that allowed for ongoing growth and business evolution.
Working in partnership with EMC we thoroughly reviewed the competitor landscape, identifying points of difference, through design, functionality and content strategy. We developed a modern, credible and professional brand strategy, demonstrating personal values and capabilities, whilst showcasing the expertise and entrepreneurial spirit of the start-up. Collaborating with Omer, we also explored a number of naming routes and executions before landing on Magma Legal – a precise summation of the firm’s service provision characteristics.

The sleek design was rolled out across the logo, stationery and business cards, before we added the polish to the website design and development.
